How it works

Open the side panel
Click the NoWireConnect icon in the toolbar. The panel stays open while you pick files - it never closes when a file dialog takes focus.
Scan with your phone
The panel shows a QR code and a 6-character code. Your phone opens No Wire Connect in its browser - nothing to install on the phone.
Drop files, both ways
Drag files into the panel or pick them on the phone. They appear on the other device in realtime; download when you like.

- No. No Wire Connect works fully in any browser at nowireconnect.com. The extension simply keeps it one click away in a side panel on your PC.
- Does my phone need to install the NoWireConnect extension?
- No. The phone only scans the QR code and opens nowireconnect.com in its browser - nothing to install.
- Which web browsers support the NoWireConnect extension?
- Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers that support side panels (Chrome 116 or newer).
- What is the file size limit for the NoWireConnect extension?
- Up to 5 GB per file through the bridge, or up to 50 GB per file directly on the same Wi-Fi. Direct transfers are capped by what the receiving device can store: a phone whose browser has no file-system access buffers in memory instead, which means 300 MB on iPhones before iOS 26. The panel shows that device's real ceiling once it connects.
- What happens to active transfers if I close the side panel?
- Transfers in progress stop. Reopen the panel and your bridge is still there; just send the file again.
- What browser permissions does the NoWireConnect extension require?
- Side panel and storage (for your preferences and the open bridge). Camera access is requested only when you choose to scan a QR with your webcam. There are no host permissions and no remote code.
